One of the most important components to the Whole School programming is expressing and acknowledging gratitude. From our morning gratitude circle, to our Marvelous Mentions where we acknowledge how grateful we are someone did something that was generous or showed belonging or some other aspect of the Circle of Courage, our day is infused with gratitude for each other, our experiences (both positive and negative), and our planet.
There are several benefits to being mindful and practicing gratitude:
improve sleep quality.
improve emotional regulation.
increase feelings of happiness and positive mood.
foster hope for the future.
reduce stress, burnout, and symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
increase resilience.
